This past weekend my friends dragged me to
The Blue Frog, an amazing venue for great live music - one of very few in Mumbai. I've never been big on live music, but that's all changed now. I am SO thankful that my friends pulled me in.
The Other People - a Rock 'n Roll / Retro band - were fantastic. Great sound, amazing energy.
As always, I had my camera with me and I couldn't pass up the opportunity to practice some concert shots. Before I knew it, I was officially shooting my first live concert. 500 clicks later, I am pleased as a peach. The lead vocalist, Zarir, was definitely the star of the show (though my female friends preferred the guitarist Sam). These two were the most visible and also accessible to my lens, which is why you will see a lot of them in this set.
All pictures were taken with my Nikon D3000 and 50mm f/1.4G prime lens. God I love that lens.
Please, please leave your feedback on my first attempt at shooting a concert. I need it!
